Curious about the pottery wheel but not ready to commit to a full class? This bite-sized workshop is the perfect way to try it out!

No experience needed — just come ready to get a little muddy. We’ll fire and glaze your favorite piece, and you’ll pick it up a few weeks later.

Spots are limited — mini wheels = mini class size!

Discover the expressive beauty of patterned clay in this two session hands-on pottery workshop dedicated to Nerikomi and Agateware techniques. 

Perfect for beginners and seasoned ceramicists alike, this workshop will guide you through the art of creating striking, layered designs directly within the clay—no glaze painting or glazing required.

Participants will learn how to:

• Prepare and color clay using mason stains to create contrasting palettes
• Layer, slice, and compress clay to form simple Nerikomi patterns
• Blend and swirl clays to achieve the marbled, fluid effects characteristic of Agateware. 

Note: Participants using the wheel must have previous experience on the wheel and be proficient at centering and throwing basic forms independently.

Create your own handmade flower brick vase with mom for Mother's Day. In this two part, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to build a rectangular clay vessel with multiple openings, perfect for arranging garden stems or showcasing single blooms.

Participants will explore:

• Forming and refining slab-built vase structures
• Designing and cutting patterned openings for flower placement
• Pressing flowers and leaves into the clay to add natural textures and botanical impressions
• Adding texture, decorative details, and personal touches

By the end of the first session, you'll have a beautifully crafted flower brick vase ready to glaze the following week in the a session to schedule during your class.
